What an honor! We just received an order from Stages Repertory Theatre in Houston for a couple of our brilliant yellow Gruvyer Spider Web Chairs. The order caught my attention because I once had the pleasure of going to that theatre in the middle 1980s while visiting Ochterbeck Distributing during the auto accessory part of my career. That was way back in my automotive accessory days at Owens Classic - the running board guys. The stage was small and intimate, just right for a play like Dorothy West of Oz. A nice takeoff from the Wizard of Oz.
I just checked their last couple of performances and was jealous that I don't live in Houston. A show about Patsy Cline and then one about the Everly Brothers. What a great trip down memory lane that must have been. I certainly would have loved it. The Stages future performances for 2024-2025 also look quite appealing.
It made me feel good to know that our Gruvyer bright yellow chairs will be somehow involved with this historical theater. We get many orders from theater companies because these Italian made chairs are perfect for use on stage. The chairs are made of sturdy polypropylene plastic which makes them light to move around. Perfect for anyone in the cast to help with moving these chairs as props. Our 20 stunning colors stand out perfectly under the lights of the stage. The color range includes many special colors like avio blue, jute beige, mocha chocolate brown, pearl grey, petrol blue, storm blue, sage green, ivory, sky blue, storm blue and anise green. They are stackable so you can also get them out of the way when they aren't in use. You can also use them for ground level seating to accent the colors of your theatre.
Because it has been 40 years since I visited Stages, I asked ChatGPT to write me a couple of paragraphs about the theater. Here is what they said:
