Many people love our Italian made Bordeaux red bar stools. The color is quite intriguing and almost mysterious. We often get questions about the shade of red that these translucent stools have.
The color is named after the color of Bordeaux grapes that are used to make wines like Merlot, Cabernet and Malbec. This is a deeper color red than bright red, however, it is not as dark as maroon or dark red. In my eye it is more of a crimson red. The color also appears a bit lighter because the seats are made out of a polycarbonate material. This is the extremely strong plastic that is used to make hurricane windows. The color, therefore, is slightly translucent. This allows some light to penetrate through the seat. Because the seat is a complex series of unique angles, the light flows through the design and looks slightly different depending on where the light source is in relationship to the bar stool. This makes a bar stool even more original and mysterious looking to every person.
The bar stools are available in both an adjustable height bar stool and also a fixed height bar stool can be raised from a seat height of 22.5" to a maximum of 30.75". The fixed height bar stool measures 29" from the floor to the seat. All iGap bar stools are made in Italy by Italian craftsmen.
